For the sixth consecutive year, in collaboration with Kuwait Food Bank

• Lujain Al-Qenaei: Gulf Bank continues its strong commitment to social sustainability programs through impactful initiatives

As part of its Ramadan events and initiatives this year, Gulf Bank distributed Iftar meals to those in need around Kuwait, as part of its strategic partnership with Kuwait Food Bank, for the sixth consecutive year.

On this occasion, the Manager of Corporate Communications at Gulf Bank, Lujain Al-Qenaei, said: "As part of Gulf Bank's continuous efforts to consolidate the principles of social sustainability, we are keen to participate in community events, and to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of those in need; especially during the holy month of Ramadan."

She added: "For more than sixty years, Gulf Bank has been an integral part of Kuwait's economic, and social history, and has never abstained to harness all its capabilities to support the needy in society. And we are well aware of the good impact that these efforts have on the hearts of many families during this time.”

Al-Qenaei stated that Gulf Bank continues its strong commitment towards initiating sustainability programs, on all levels, especially social sustainability – by launching carefully selected initiatives that benefit the Bank as well as the community. This falls in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Kuwait Vision 2035.

She added: "As a financial institution, Gulf Bank is committed to supporting active Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), such as Kuwait Food Bank, due to its distinguished social and humanitarian role. We believe that the private sector has an important responsibility in raising awareness about these crucial issues."

Al-Qenaei expressed her appreciation and thanks to Kuwait Food Bank officials for their efforts in providing meals for distribution to those in need, and that the Bank looks forward to continuing to cooperate with them in various charitable projects that achieve community sustainability.
