In honor of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

With the end of the first phase of the Gulf Bank’s fantasy football competition, which the Bank launched in honor of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Gulf Bank is inviting more participants to join the competition in its upcoming rounds. Fantasy football is one of the most popular simulation games among football lovers around the world.

On this occasion, the Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications, Hamza AlTailji, said, "We would like to congratulate our first round prize winner and wish the rest of our participants the best of luck in the coming rounds. It is worth noting that Gulf Bank will be distributing KD 5,000 in prizes over the course of the tournament — from the first round to the final match, in addition to interactive prizes throughout the World Cup. The final round prize winner will be taking home KD 2,000 and the second place winner will take home KD 1,000.”

AlTailji added, “Gulf Bank is keen to interact with customers and the public as part of our various GB Community events and social responsibility programs throughout the year. In keeping with this goal, we are pleased to share in our customers’ interests during the World Cup."

He pointed out that Gulf Bank is still accepting submissions for its fantasy football competition in Kuwait, calling on Gulf Bank’s social media followers and customers to form their fantasy football teams and register their teams as soon as possible in order to maximize their World Cup experience.

He explained that, as early as today, participants can form their favorite lineup using the players participating in the upcoming World Cup. The team manager will be given a virtual amount of $100 million to buy players, provided that each team includes 15 players, including 11 in the starting lineup and 4 reserves. Each squad should include two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders, and three strikers.
