Gulf Bank gives away souvenirs, competitions, prizes, and more

Gulf Bank's continuous efforts to engage with the local community met with record success in 2022. The Bank’s successes are especially apparent on social media.

The Bank was able to increase the number of its followers on various social media compared to the previous year, with a noticeable increase in interactions in terms of comments, responses and shares.

Gulf Bank’s Senior Corporate Communications Officer, Duaa Shashtari, said, "At Gulf Bank, we are keen to interact and communicate with our local community and customers throughout the year and across various occasions, both directly and through our various social media channels. Gulf Bank is keen to prioritize our relationships with our local community as part of its strategy to further its community engagement, both in terms of innovative banking services and its pioneering role in social sustainability.”

She added: "We are proud of what we have achieved in terms of maintaining an active presence in our society during 2022, and we look forward to further enhancing our community interactions and communication in the future as we continue our outreach efforts to reach as many people as possible."

Shashtari continued: “Gulf Bank is keen to launch initiatives designed to build deeper relationships with the public — both through ongoing events organized by the Bank as part of its social sustainability program and through informative content distributed across the Bank’s social and digital media channels.”

She stated that Gulf Bank aims to give back to the community as part of its role as a leading bank in the local banking sector. Through a series of ongoing initiatives, Gulf Bank is proudly supporting Kuwaiti youth entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Shashtari also indicated that Gulf Bank’s local engagement campaigns provide news and activities of interest to the Bank’s followers and include weekly competitions, major sports, social and religious events (such as the Bank’s annual Ramadan competitions), and awareness campaigns, foremost of which is the ongoing Diraya campaign.

She pointed to some examples of the activities that the Bank organizes on social media every week, including competitions for the chance to win a series of souvenirs signed by famous celebrities (“GB memorabilia” & “GB competitions”), cash prizes, and offers and discounts in partnership with local owners of small and medium-sized businesses (as part of Gulf Bank’s “GB community” initiative).
