• Hamza AlTailji: Gulf Bank is keen to share in its customers’ interests at various events

As part of its ongoing efforts to engage with customers and support their interests, Gulf Bank has launched its fantasy football competition to mark the occasion of the World Cup launch in Qatar. Fantasy football is one of the most popular simulation games among football lovers around the world.

On this occasion, the Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications, Hamza AlTailji, said: "At Gulf Bank, we are keen to interact with customers and the public as part of our various GB Community events and social responsibility programs throughout the year. In keeping with this goal, we are pleased to share in our customers’ interests during the World Cup."

AlTailji called on Gulf Bank’s social media followers and customers to form their fantasy football teams and register their teams as soon as possible — prior to the start of the World Cup matches. AlTaijli also wished all participants the best of luck.

He pointed out that the total prizes for the competition amount to KD 5,000 to be distributed over the course of the tournament — from the first round to the final match. The grand prize winner will be taking home KD 2,000 and the second prize winner will take home KD 1,000 dinars.

He explained that, as early as today, anyone can form their favorite lineup using the players participating in the upcoming World Cup. The team manager will be given a virtual amount of

100 million to buy players, provided that each team includes 15 players, including 11 in the starting lineup and 4 reserves. Each squad should include two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders, and three strikers.
