Gifting a song to the State of Qatar in honor of Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup

Gulf Bank is extending its warmest congratulations to the State of Qatar and its people on the occasion of hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November, a remarkable achievement for both Qatar and football fans around the world.

An official Gulf Bank delegation — headed by the General Manager of the Retail Banking Group, Mohammed Al-Qattan, the Deputy General Manager of Consumer Banking - Marketing Department, Najla Aleisa, and the Executive Manager of the Marketing Department, Nazem Al-Ghabra — visited the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kuwait, His Excellency Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud. During the visit, Gulf Bank’s delegation presented artwork produced by the Bank and gifted it to the State of Qatar and the Qatari people on the occasion of their hosting of the FIFA World Cup.

Al-Qattan expressed his best wishes for the State of Qatar and its people in preparation for the football tournament, and for shining a light on Qatar and the Gulf region.

Al-Qattan said, “In honor of Qatar’s achievement — which marks the first time a Gulf Arab country has hosted the FIFA World Cup — Gulf Bank is pleased to present the State of Qatar and its people with ‘The Pulse of the Gulf,’ a lyrical masterpiece presented by a group of beloved Kuwaiti, Gulf, and Arab singers.”

He added that Gulf Bank's launch of this artistic work reflects its interest in key regional events and its keenness to involve its customers and the local, Gulf, and international communities in the world’s most important experiences and events.

The song’s lyrics are written by Bashar Al-Shatti and Hadi Khamees, and the song is performed by several famous Kuwaiti, Gulf, and Arab singers, including: Bashar Al-Shatti, Bader Al-Shuaibi, Hadi Khamees and Shahd Al-Amiri.

The song’s lyrics embody a spirit of enthusiasm and hope, highlighting the Gulf peoples’ abilities to overcome challenges and turn the impossible into reality, and featuring the myriad of traits that have placed the Gulf region on the map.
