Gulf Bank and Mastercard Deepen Relationship Through New Strategic Partnership

The new partnership marks a new era of collaboration to provide the best and most innovative products in the market

In a continuation of many years of collaboration to provide the best and most innovative products to customers, Gulf Bank has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with Mastercard. The new partnership is a testament to Gulf Bank’s ongoing efforts to keep pace with the latest banking requirements, and to consolidate its position as the Kuwaiti Bank of the Future.

 

As part of their latest agreement, Mastercard will connect Gulf Bank to solutions and products that suit their customers’ evolving needs and requirements, in addition to providing consultancy, training and other services to the bank.

 

The agreement was signed in Dubai in the presence of Gulf Bank’s General Manager of Consumer Banking, Mohammed Al-Qattan, and Gulf Bank’s Assistant Manager of Consumer Banking, Mohammad Taqi, as well as Mastercard’s management team, including Dimitrios Dosis, President, EEMEA and Khalid Elgibali, Division President, MENA.

 

Customer Experience

 

In light of the occasion, Al-Qattan commented: “The signing of the partnership agreement will start a new era of fruitful cooperation with Mastercard, a technology leader in the field of payment solutions whose services and expertise are widespread around the world, especially in the Kuwaiti market.”

Successful Products

 

On his part, Taqi commented, “The continuous cooperation between Gulf Bank and Mastercard in the past resulted in the introduction of distinguished quality initiatives. The success of these products and services, as well as their popularity among Gulf Bank's customers, encouraged us to sign a long-term strategic partnership with Mastercard."

 

Taqi pointed out that Gulf Bank’s MOUJ prepaid card, which was launched last year, is the latest product of Gulf Bank’s successful partnership with Mastercard. The MOUJ prepaid card is the first Mastercard prepaid card in the Middle East to offer cashback to its users, creating a new standard for prepaid cards in Kuwait and the region. Notably, the card was given the “Most Rewarding Prepaid Card in the Middle East and Africa” award from Mastercard in February.
