Gulf Bank Signs Strategic Partnership with Wassel Logistics

Addressing SME Business Needs in the Post-Covid Era

Kuwait, 17 March 2022: Gulf Bank has signed a strategic partnership with Wassel Logistics to address the needs of the SME sector in the post-Covid era. The initiative is part of Gulf Bank’s continuous interest and support in the SME sector, in which they aim to strengthen their commercial activity and competitive edge.

 

Meshal AlWazzan, Assistant General Manager of the Corporate Banking Services department at Gulf Bank, stated: “We are pleased to empower customers who own SME businesses and startup companies with competitive rates, quality services and support. The state considers this an essential part of its plans to diversify sources of income, creating job opportunities for citizens and increasing the value of entrepreneurship.”

 

He added: “Gulf Bank’s customers who own SME businesses will enjoy the benefits of Wassel Logistics, as they will be able to facilitate an easier process of transporting goods at any given time and place. This will be done through Wassel’s modern cars and vans, of which some are also available with a refrigerator option. The discounts could reach up to 20% upon request and 5% for monthly rental contracts.”

 

AlWazzan explained that their latest initiative is a part of Gulf Bank’s aspirations to expand the range of non-banking products and services that are provided to SME companies, and as part of Gulf Bank’s commitment to expanding partnerships with companies from various sectors and specializations. Through this initiative and more, Gulf Bank is offering innovative services and competitive rates to their SME customers who are unable to rent or maintain their own delivery team; online booking and on-demand delivery management options also make it easier than ever to take advantage of the Bank’s services.

 

He added that Gulf Bank provides SME customers with advisory services through partner companies that specialize in finance and management consultancy services. This will provide the Bank’s customers with the support they need through the latest available payment methods, including Easy Pay, a service that enables Gulf Bank’s credit cardholders to pay in interest-free installments, as well as providing them with concierge services inside Kuwait and around the world.

 

He noted that Gulf Bank provides a completely digital banking experience for SME transaction services, including collection and payment services, employee salary transfers, point-of-sale services, payment gateways and links, as well as the option to open all kinds of accounts, including the issuance of company debit cards.

 

He added that SME businesses can communicate directly with the various Gulf Bank units related to debit and credit card services, internet banking transactions, points-of-sale and payment gateways. Businesses can also start submitting financial requests by filling out the form that contains the company’s information, banking details and initial financial requirements, which is to be sent to the designated mail. The request will be examined and approved by the Bank before communicating with the customer in order to finalize the process.
