Kuwait, 26 December 2021: Gulf Bank has launched AJYAL Tech, its first training program for local youth, recent graduates and new Bank employees who specialize in technology and information technology. The new program is part of the new partnership between Gulf Bank and the Kuwaiti company CODED, the first company to hold training camps to teach programming in the Middle East.

Gulf Bank’s "AJYAL Tech" program is the first program of its kind in Kuwait that is dedicated to the continuous education and training of local youth who specialize in various technological fields. The program is an extension of the "AJYAL" program that Gulf Bank first launched in 2014.

As part of the program, new employees and young graduates are engaged in an intensive training program, similar to technical camps, to prepare them for future jobs. The new program falls in line with Gulf Bank’s 2025 strategy, which considers investment in technology as one of its pillars towards digital transformation. The program also falls within the Bank’s efforts toward sustainable social responsibility, which includes the development of Kuwaiti competencies, and local talent that is capable of actively participating in achieving the New Kuwait Vision 2035.

In this context, the General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, Mrs. Salma Al-Hajjaj, said: “The "AJYAL Tech" program targets young professionals who are passionate and talented in technology and data, and aims to prepare them for future jobs.”

She pointed out that the launch of the new program "AJYAL Tech" is another milestone for the Bank to train local talent on modern technology. The new program aims to ensure that future employees remain at the forefront of digital technology.

She also indicated that the program aims to train and develop a select group of Kuwaiti youth, giving them all the technological tools and personal skill development needed not only to advance in their careers, but also to achieve Gulf Bank's overall vision of being the bank of the future.

She added: “With the banking sector heading towards a new era of digitization, Gulf Bank has shown great dynamism in responding quickly to the requirements of technological development, aimed at transforming Gulf Bank into an integrated digital bank that rises to the level of the aspirations of future generations, and will even exceed them with the implementation of our slogan ‘With you for the next 60 years.’”

She also pointed out that, through the "AJYAL" initiative which was launched in 2014, Gulf Bank has been relentlessly developing young Kuwaiti talents, with the aim of advancing the local banking sector. These initiatives have helped Gulf Bank prepare local youth to become future Kuwaiti leaders, help trainees to develop basic banking skills, and also assist in upskilling people who have demonstrated growth potential both personally and professionally.”

Al-Hajjaj concluded by saying, "We are proud to set high standards for our employees from the very start of the recruitment process. We look forward to everything that our employees can achieve with the necessary training and tools as they continue to reach the standards of excellence that our customers expect from Gulf Bank."

Gulf Bank's vision is to be the leading Kuwaiti Bank of the Future. The Bank is constantly engaging and empowering its employees as part of an inclusive and diversified workplace in recognition of every employee’s role in delivering customer excellence and serving the community at large. With its extensive network of branches and innovative digital services, Gulf Bank is able to give its customers the choice of how and where to conduct their banking transactions, all while ensuring a simple and seamless banking experience.
