Gulf Bank Hosts Live Cooking Sessions with Local Kuwaiti Chefs at Qout Market

Visitors prepare delicious dishes from all over the world with Kuwaiti chefs Abdulrazzaq Al Sayed, Sami Al-Sheredah and Wafa Al-Kenderi

Kuwait, 12 January 2020: As part of its ongoing efforts to support the local community and the development of the local economy, Gulf Bank hosted several live cooking stations at this year’s Qout Market. The market, which is currently in its seventh season, took place Saturday at Abraj Park in Adailiya. At the market, Gulf Bank hosted the cooking sessions for participants in collaboration with local talented Kuwaiti chefs: Abdulrazzaq Al Sayed, Sami Al-Sheredah, and Wafa Al-Kanderi.

Gulf Bank hosted the live cooking sessions for numerous participants, who learned to cook several dishes from a variety of international cuisines. This month’s Qout Market also hosted a variety of restaurants, artisanal craft shops, farm produce, and other businesses owned by young entrepreneurs who used this opportunity to showcase their fresh goods to the market’s visitors.

Qout Market launched its seventh season in December at Abraj Park in Adailiya, and is set to take place over the course of two more Saturdays from February to March. The upcoming markets will take place on Feb. 8 and Mar. 7 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Commenting on this year’s Qout Market, Lujain Al-Qenaei, Assistant Manager for External Communications at Gulf Bank said: “Qout Market is an incredible opportunity for our Gulf Bank community to connect with the Kuwaiti community at large. This month, we hosted three creative Kuwaiti chefs who led live cooking stations comprised of various dishes from all around the world — the fact that they cooked all those dishes right here at the market was incredible! At Gulf Bank, we are constantly on the look-out for more events that give us the chance to connect with local creative talents and young entrepreneurs, as our primary aim is to provide them with the support they need to keep that creativity going. We can’t wait to see what more Qout Market has in store in the coming months, and we’re looking forward to engaging with even more of our local community next time.”

Qout Market is an artisanal farmer’s market established in 2013 with the aim of empowering the local community through seasonal initiatives. The market focuses on small and medium-sized vendors specializing in farm produce, artisanal crafts and locally made food products.
