Gulf Bank Pioneers On-the-spot recruiting at the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Career Fair

Kuwait, 19 February 2019: Gulf Bank was the Platinum Sponsor of the 2019 edition of the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Career Fair, for the second consecutive year, hiring Kuwaitis on the day. Held at MGRP Headquarters in Al Ruggae, the fair took place on Tuesday, 12th February 2019.

During the event, Gulf Bank representatives showcased the bank’s expertise, highlighting company policy and culture, and providing students with a comprehensive knowledge of the departments and resources available within the bank. Attracting numerous candidates, Gulf Bank conducted on the ground screenings, as well as interviews of potential employees offering employment contracts to Kuwaitis on the day.

Speaking on Gulf Bank’s participation, Mrs. Salma AlHajjaj, General Manager of Human resources at Gulf Bank said: “Gulf Bank remains committed to empowering the youth of Kuwait, and the continued Kuwaitization of the private sector. The bank’s participation in the fair, provides us with the opportunity to support our youth in reaching their potential in all aspects of their lives, highlighting the fantastic career opportunities available to them. By investing in our youth, we inevitably contribute to our country’s economic prosperity.”

Gulf Bank’s participation and sponsorship reaffirms the banks continued commitment to the youth of Kuwait and Kuwaitization of the private sector. During the event, in the presence of Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel, Gulf Bank was presented with the Excellence Award for the highest percentage of hires at MGRP Career Fair in 2018. The bank continues to support the Recruitment Screening Program, offering career counseling, and guidance of Kuwaiti nationals seeking employment opportunities to join Gulf Bank family.
