Gulf Bank Launches Kuwait’s First ‘Easy Pay’ at More than 100 Stores

Kuwait 3 November 2018: Gulf Bank has announced the launch of Kuwait’s first Easy Pay feature on its Credit Card. For the first time, Gulf Bank credit cardholders can pay for purchases, at over 100 shopping outlets, over the course of 12 months, with 0% interest. Gulf Bank Credit Card customers can now buy goods and services from select shopping outlets and pay in instalments, without having to pay any interest or processing fees. For example, Gulf Bank’s latest offering will allow customers to buy a mobile phone, worth KD 240, from X-cite and pay in 12 equal monthly instalments of KD20 with 0% interest and zero processing fees.

By dividing the payment over the course of 12 months, the ‘Easy Pay’ feature increases customer’s affordability and reduces the payment burden. The new “Easy Pay” feature has been designed by keeping customer convenience & service at the heart of the program. The process of enrolling any transaction at participating shopping outlet into Easy Pay is seamless. Customers don’t need to submit any additional documents or call the bank to convert the transaction into Easy Pay. Customers simply have to ask about Easy Pay at the merchant outlet before making the purchase. The cashier at the merchant outlet will process the Credit Card transaction on the dedicated ‘Easy Pay’ terminal and transaction will automatically convert into Easy Pay. Customers can avail multiple Easy Pay facilities on their Credit Card at the same time.

Gulf Bank will continue to review new merchants based on customer needs and will add them to the Easy Pay Program to make the program even more inclusive in the upcoming few months.
