Kuwait – 22 March, 2016: Gulf Bank's recently held its annual Staff Open Day, which was held this year in a desert camp in the area of Mutlaa, north of Kuwait City.   The day long occasion is part of the Bank's drive to engage all its employees and their families in a day of fun.  Over 1,000 people attended the event, which consisted of a wide range of activities, competitions, entertainment and free hospitality.

The day featured a number of sporting competitions, such as soccer, basket shooting, volley ball, badminton, and table tennis, as well as draws for over 25 prizes with a main cash prize of KD 1,000.  Other attractions included an Indian, Egyptian, and Dabkah show, as well as a Kuwaiti traditional sword dance. The kids were entertained by Barney and his friends, along with a magic show.

Particular emphasis was given to children's entertainment, and featured attractions such as a mini bouncy castle city, camel and pony rides, falcons, a nursery tent, kites and frisbees, amongst other activities geared for an older crowd such as; soap making and magnetic pottery drawing.

Catering for the event was provided by Lazurd, one of the region's major catering companies, which was supplemented with potato and corn stands, ice cream from KDD, Edamame, and cotton candy and popcorn from Popcornopolis.
