Gulf Bank Execute Emergency Fire Evacuation Procedures for Employees

Kuwait – 6 November, 2013: Gulf Bank conducted a fire drill for its employees at its headquarters, as part of its commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its staff. Staff rehearsed evacuation procedures during the drill to ensure that they knew where to go and what to do in the event of a real emergency.

Prior to the drill, the Bank provided evacuation advice and instruction for all employees.  This included instructions for security guards and floor wardens, directions for the evacuation and meeting points, treatment of documentation, use of elevators, not smoking and remembering to take personal belongings before leaving the Bank's premises.

The emergency evacuation exercise is a top priority for Gulf Bank and is part of the Bank's Safety Plan for all building occupants. The success of the fire drill has helped to ensure that all staff are fully aware of the procedures they must follow to ensure their own safety, customers safety, and uphold the integrity of the Bank's systems in the event that a fire or similar emergency happens.

All Gulf Bank head office employees participated in the fire drill, which was successfully completed in less than 10 minutes. Gulf Bank organizes regular safety drills and briefings for employees as part of its strong commitment to upholding world class standards and operational practice.
