Gulf Bank conducts INJAZ Kuwait 'More Than Money' Program for students from ACA Girls School

Kuwait - 3 May 2013:  Gulf Bank recently hosted two 'More than Money' sessions at the American Creativity Academy (ACA) as part of the Bank's strategic partnership with INJAZ Kuwait in 2013, which aims to help both organizations progress towards their shared goals of investing in Kuwait's future economic and social prosperity by directly creating and supporting youth education and development programs. During comprehensive sessions held, 56 students from ACA Girls School received presentations from Gulf Bank personnel about the ways to earn and consciously spend, share and save money in a responsible way.

Fatima Al Jassim and Yassmine Al Rashdan from Gulf Bank conducted the sessions at ACA Girls School, presenting the fundamentals for making sound financial decisions, identifying characteristics of positive work ethic, identifying ways of earning money through personal businesses or jobs, calculating operating expenses and income for small businesses, and how to develop business plans based on job skills and interests.

The 'More than Money' program aims to teach students about earning, spending, sharing, and saving money, as well as ways of earning money from their jobs or businesses. The program also encompasses the school economics and business curriculum for students in grades five and six.

Gulf Bank seeks to equip students with practical business-related skills as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy.

Gulf Bank's 2013 CSR strategy is focused on the critical areas of youth and education. The 'More than Money' program gives the Bank an opportunity to present itself to Kuwait's future business leaders, increasing their understanding of the banking industry and demonstrating the importance of earning and saving money.
