Kuwait " May 8, 2012: Gulf Bank concluded its silver sponsorship of the 2nd GCC SME Forum, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, with the attendance of His Excellency Anas Al-Saleh, Minister of Commerce and Industry.  The event was held over a two day period at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Forum included workshops relating to SME, with  experts from the region giving lectures and current best practice examples of the SME market.

Mr. Fawzy Al-Thunayan, GM " Board Affairs of Gulf Bank, said : "Gulf Bank has always supported Kuwaiti manpower, and the Bank realizes that  focusing on Kuwait's future and national economy is of the utmost importance.  This can only be achieved by realizing ambitions of youth by offering the highest level of professional support.  Our sponsorship of this event, for the second year is also in line with our strategy. We were proud to be recognized by Banker Middle East for the Best SME Start-Up Package for 2012, again reiterating our support in this sector."

The SME Forum is the first and largest of its kind in the Gulf region. The event attracted numerous small and medium-sized companies in Kuwait and GCC countries.  Gulf Bank is will continue to support such events to enhance the national economy.
