234 Lives Saved To Date With Gulf Bank's "Give Life" Blood Donation Movement

Kuwait- 8 April 2012: Gulf Bank today announced that its "Give Life" blood donation has been a great success, following the launch of its road-show. Statistics collected by the Bank and confirmed by the Central Blood Bank have shown that since the Bank's movement commenced on 21 March 2012, has managed to save 234 lives to date.

So far, the Bank's "Give Life" road-show has taken place at the Mubarak Al Kabeer, Nuzha, Audailiya and Daiya branches and has received brilliant feedback from all its customers and employees who donated blood on the first scheduled visits. The Bank's "Give Life" initiative aims at building awareness amongst the public that they can help save lives in a very simple and easy way.

The Bank's second round of visits will take place in the Shaab branch on 11 April, Jabriya branch on 18 April, Hawally branch 25 April, and will continue through the year in many other venues as well as Gulf Bank branches to involve the wider community on this humanitarian cause.

Fawzy Al-Thunayan, General Manager of Board Affairs at Gulf Bank said: "Our mission is to increase the awareness of the importance of blood donation and how it can significantly save lives. At Gulf Bank, we strive to contribute to our community and its people through many  initiatives such as our "Give Life" blood donation drive. We are very pleased with the first successes of this initiative, saving 234 lives and sparing families and loved ones from grief."
