Kuwait " 19 September, 2011: Gulf Bank recently announced the winners of its staff Girgai'an competition.  This popular competition, which was held for the third consecutive year, gives all employees the chance to win one of many prizes by completing a general knowledge questionnaire on various aspects of the Bank.  The employees who got all the questions correct were entered into a draw to receive prizes such as a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi's Yas Island with Ferrari World passes, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, iPods, as well as a range of gift vouchers.

To celebrate the Holy Month of Giving, Gulf Bank also created a dedicated bank account to take donations from staff members to support the victims of the severe drought and famine affecting millions of Somalis in East Africa.  The money that was raised was handed over to the Red Crescent.

The Bank's Ramadan activities such as the annual Girgai"an competition and the creation of the Somali relief fund help to strengthen the bonds between employees making Gulf Bank a rewarding place to work, as well as getting staff involved in humanitarian support for people who need it, not only in Kuwait but around the world.
