Gulf Bank Sponsors "My Teacher Is Behind My Success" Campaign
Kuwait " 13 May, 2010: Gulf Bank has announced its successful sponsorship of "My Teacher is Behind My Success' campaign as part of Ghiras' National Anti-Drug Project. The focus of the campaign aimed at developing and investing in Kuwait's future generations and protecting them from drug abuse.
The campaign focused on encouraging young people to spend more quality time with their teachers, who in return enrich both their educational and their social skills. Teachers have always been a source of inspiration to the younger generation and they play a vital role in shaping their future. The campaign also highlighted real examples of successful teachers, who have had an impact on students' lives, and how their role affected the social as well as the professional careers of those individuals.
A number of events were planned, including seminars, workshops and competitions across local schools. The campaign also included examples of successful students who have achieved outstanding results and were mentored by their respective teachers. One example is 15 -year old Talal Mohammad Al-Shgaih, who has won first place in numerous competitions, including the "Solar Energy and Generating Electricity" project for the Ministry of Education competition, and the Inventor project's "Energy Saver" for the Mubarak Al-Kabeer area for 2007/2008. He also won first place in the Science Club competition in 2008, H.H the Amir's Award for Creativity and Excellence 2007/2008, and the GCC Creativity Competition in Geography 2008/2009.
