Gulf Bank Sponsors the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training

Kuwait " 15 October 2009: As a leading Kuwaiti business, Gulf Bank recently sponsored the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training's (PAAET) student elections for the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS).

The (PAAET) organizes various student events throughout the year, and for 2009/2010, have accepted 11,000 students. The goal is to develop their skills and further their education.

The event witnessed a high turn out of students who were there to cast their votes to elect new members for the Student Union.

On the issues of human development, Surour Alsamerai, Head of Human Resources, at Gulf Bank commented, "Education and training is a fundamental necessity for Kuwait. Thus, the private sector is socially responsible in assisting the public sector and institutions such as the Public Authority to develop their students to the maximum potential possible."

Gulf Bank showcased its red program for the university students, an account specifically designed for 18-24 year olds and which requires no deposit. The Program offers many innovative features including a no minimum balance charge, free online banking, free welcome gifts, exclusive discounts at selected shops and restaurants and no parental signature is required. Gulf Bank also provided a special offer from Digits, an electronic store specialized in selling iPods, laptops, desktop computers as well as accessories for Apple.
