Gulf Bank Chairs Banking Debate Attended by The R.H Lord Mayor of the City of London
Kuwait, January 8th 2007: A debate on banking was held on Sunday the 17th of December at the Arab Fund Building in Kuwait with The Right Honorable Lord Mayor Alderman John Stuttard, Lord Mayor of the City of London, as a special guest.
Mr. Bassam Alghanim, Chairman and Managing Director of Gulf Bank, opened the debate with a formal welcome, which was then chaired by Dr. Yousef Al-Awadi, Senior Advisor to the Chairman.
Acting Chief Executive Officer & CGM, Sana Juma, also present in the debate said that it was an honor for Gulf Bank to provide their services to this auspicious occasion. The event was attended by very senior representatives in the banking and financial field and covered a range of key topics, including a review of the GCC economic and business environment, issues surrounding investment banking in the GCC region and Islamic banking practices in a global market.
