Gulf Bank names Mr. Abdullatif Mohammed Al-Hamad as new General Manager - Corporate Banking
Kuwait, 19 March, 2008: Gulf Bank announced today that Mr. Abdullatif Mohammed Al-Hamad is to become General Manager of Corporate Banking " taking on responsibility for one of the bank's fastest growing and successful divisions.
Mr. Al-Hamad has more than 20 years experience in banking in Kuwait and is promoted to lead the Corporate Banking division from his current role as Deputy General Manager.
"We are delighted to announce the promotion of Mr. Al-Hamad," said Gulf Bank CEO Mr. Louis Myers. "With over six years experience in our Corporate Banking division as Deputy GM and 20 years of service to the Kuwaiti banking sector, Mr. Al-Hamad will bring leadership, professionalism and dedication to continuing the successful growth and development of this important division."
Speaking about his appointment, Mr. Al-Hamad said: "I am very proud to have been given the opportunity to lead our vibrant and expanding corporate banking division. A graduate in International Business from the San Diego University, California, during his long banking career Mr. Al-Hamad has previously worked with both NBK and Burgan Bank and is now enjoying his second spell with Gulf Bank having worked as a senior manager for four years from 1994 to 1998.
